I have found that one of the most rewarding things to do in life for me is to take an honest assessment of myself. This is me looking at me from a mental, physical, and spiritual perspective. I believe these three areas of my life help guide, shape, and mold my future. Therefore, it is extremely important to stop and evaluate each area.
Do you have the ability to stop and look at you from the outside in? Have you ever done so? If so, what have found out about you? More importantly, did you do anything with the information?
The moment you look from the outside in, you regain control of the direction of your thoughts and abilities. Are you involved in the line of work that makes you feel most alive? Are you working everyday to live in your sweet spot? Are you in the shape you want and need to be in currently? Do you have the spiritual connection that delivers awesome energy, faith, courage to be you?
For me, I spend every day recalibrating myself to my prime desires in each of these categories. I take an honest assessment of what I really want in these areas. I then work backwards by building a game plan, acquiring the necessary knowledge, attaining the right vision, and getting present with my intention for wanting it in the first place.
I challenge you right now to sit down and look at your life in the areas of mental, physical, and spiritual mastery. Write down your desired goals and wants in each of these areas. Then take an outside look inside of yourslef to measure the distance from where you are to where you deserve to be. Next, determine what it has been costing you by remaining at the distance you are form your desired targets.
Now that you have fully examined yourself, set a time on a daily and weekly basis to re-calibrate yourself. Stay committed to the introspective process and “magic” will begin to happen for you. Remember that the true reward in any endeavor is the journey.
There are many strategies to increasing sales and cash flow, but nothing makes sense unless you have the foundational pieces in place to optimize it and do it consistently. When you know exactly how to become more introspective, you regain control over your future. What do I even mean by the question? I am talking about the war going on inside of your brain every day. I am talking about the daily conversations you are having with yourself from a conscious and subconscious level.
It is time that we all began to regain the control of our conscious mind and begin taking the necessary steps to create the lifestyle we want and be who it is we are really suppose to be. I believe, now more than ever, you need a Warrior Mindset to achieve these results.
The Warrior is one who comes from a place of courage, strength, perseverance, and opportunity. The Warrior is in complete control. The Warrior is strong mentally and physically to wage a battle against anything that threatens the strength and opportunity he is seeking.’
Atlanta, GA (Immediate Release) March 23, 2009 – Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you make the decisions that you make? Have you ever wondered why you are getting the results that you know you should be getting? I challenge you to take a moment and see if you make most of your decisions based on “truth” or “fact’.
“In all of my experience, I find that most people operate from a place of truths rather than facts. It is imperative with so much noise in the business world, that one has the ability to decipher what is relevant information and what is not to make sound business decisions”, Jason Tyne, Founder & CEO SalesPartners Atlanta.
As it relates to gaining clarity on the tough economic issues at hand and how to navigate the rough seas, you have to have the ability to make your own decisions that will lead you down the right road at the right time. The only way to get started down the right pat is get clear on what is true versus an absolute fact as it relates to your situation. Everybody thinks that their situation is different; let me tell you it is not.

Regardless of what type of product or service that you sell, it is extremely important to have a concise, effective elevator pitch. When you are in a networking situation, you must be able to convey to someone in ten seconds or less what you do and why someone should do business with you.
The term “elevator pitch” is rooted in the amount of time that you have on an average elevator ride to explain to someone what it is that you do. The average elevator ride is probably ten seconds. There are five components to a solid elevator pitch:
1. Credibility and interest
2. Time
3. Who/Where
4. What/Results/#’s
5. Ask a closing question
Allow me to share with you our elevator pitch and then we will take a closer look at the components.
“My name is Glenn Carver and I am with Sales Partners Atlanta. I am part of a team that over the past ten years has helped thousands of business owners, entrepreneurs, sales teams and sales professionals worldwide increase their sales anywhere from 15-85% in as little as six weeks. How many of you would be interested in that?”
1. I stated my name and the name of my company to establish credibility. I am also part of a team which is much bigger than myself. If you are new to an industry or organization, I strongly recommend this verbiage!
2. Even if I am new, I am part of a team that has produced results for ten years.
3. We have helped thousands of business owners, entrepreneurs, sales teams and sales professionals worldwide. Once again I am referring to a team effort that builds more credibility than I could create on my own.
4. Use specific numbers if possible. What results have your clients experienced? Our clients have seen an increase in sales anywhere from 15-85% in as little as six weeks. Once again, be specific.
5. Always ask a closing question i.e. ASK FOR THE ORDER!
I would suggest getting together with your sales teams and creating an effective elevator pitch asap. It is one of the most practical and powerful techniques for generating new leads.
Play Big!

We just finished our monthly Cash Flow Explosion 1 day event and it was a tremendous success! During my time on the stage, a powerful analogy came to mind that I would like to share with you.
Daniel Grissom, author of “Step Up” and Founder of www.PhDinResults.com, had just given a dynamic presentation that triggered the thought of the magic of tuning forks. Daniel was speaking of the critical importance of maintaining a positive attitude and I was reminded of how our frequency effects the people around us.
You can literally see the effects of frequency when you do a very enlightening exercise with tuning forks. For this exercise, you will need two tuning forks. Hold a tuning fork in each hand and hit one of them on a solid object. As you hold the vibrating tuning fork in one hand, slowly bring the still tuning fork toward it. Notice how the still tuning fork starts to vibrate as it approaches the vicinity of the other tuning fork. Not only will it start to vibrate, it will perfectly match the frequency of the other tuning fork within a very short matter of time.
So, what is the practical application of this exercise? Well, our thoughts have a frequency and a physical effect on our surroundings very similar to the vibration of tuning forks. It occurred to me during my discourse, that having a negative attitude is literally irresponsible. Our attitude is the ONLY thing within our control and we choose whether to have a positive or negative attitude. When we consider the potential impact that we are having on our surroundings and the people around us, it is critical that we bring a positive to the world.
Human beings are ultimately here to increase consciousness in the universe. We ALL have a purpose! Be aware of your attitude and how your frequency resonates with the world.

I heard a great entrepreneur speak yesterday on a subject that is encoded into my DNA: ATTITUDE! Barbara Babbit Kaufman (wwwAttitudeIsIt.com) has transitioned from CPA to Founder of Chapter Eleven Bookstores to Author and Motivational Speaker. You can pick up a copy of her book entitled “Attitude” at bookstores or on her website. Oh, did I mention she is a triathlete as well?
She delivered her “10 Attitude Steps to Success” and I would like to pass them on to you in this blog:
1. Make it Happen
This is Barbara’s mantra and speaks to her spirit of pro activity. You will never get anywhere in life sitting back on your heels. No one is going to come along and hand you your fortune just because you are a nice person.
2. Never Take “No” for an Answer
Have you ever taken a five year old to Toys-R-Us? They are relentless and refuse to take no for an answer. What separates average producers from Peak Performers is boldness!
3. Everything is an Opportunity
Every adversity has within it the seed of opportunity if you have the right outlook on life. Some of the most successful products ever invented were initially failures i.e. Coca Cola and Post-It Notes.
4. Just Ask
If you don’t ask, the answer is always NO! Remember when you were a kid? You were probably relentless about asking for what you wanted and a lot less fearful of rejection.
5. Networking
Most people don’t network with intention. For me (Glenn) it is literally a part-time job. It’s not WHAT you know, but WHO knows you.
6. Focus, Focus, Focus
Pick one thing and do it exceptionally well. Have a To Do list and work from that list everyday.
7. Passion and Enthusiasm
Sam Walton, Founder of Walmart, said the key to success is passion. Most people are living lives of quiet desperation and never connect with their true passion. Find your passion and LIVE it!
8. Everything is a Sales Job
I could not agree more! We are all in sales whether we realize it or not. We are always trying to sell other people on our way of thinking whether it be business, social or family. Learn to sell.
9. Balance Your Life
I am convinced the key to life is balance and consistency. It’s not what we do once in awhile that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently. Balance your days by time blocking your core activities.
10. Diet and Exercise
Barbara won 3 triathlons in her age group because she is consistent and balanced with her diet and exercise. When we FEEL good, we DO good!
I hope these core philosophies of Barbara Babbit Kaufman add value to your day and your life. Until next time…...

Whether you have been in business for six months or sixteen years, you know that it is only a matter of time before “heat” comes on your business. All businesses must pass through the stage of “chaos” if they are ever going to reach the stage of “normalcy” much less “power.”
It is imperative that a business have the right context if it is going to avoid becoming a start-up statistic. In 2008, there was an article in the USA Today that said, “Of all businesses started this year, 82% will fail by 2012.” Those are very sobering numbers! It pains me to see a small business fail because an entrepreneur has taken action on his or her dream and most likely put their life savings on the line. Therein lies the importance of context.
Content is the employees, capital, products and services of the business. Context, however, is what binds a business or team together when the pressure is high. When we speak of context, we are primarily speaking of a Code of Honor. Allow me to paint a picture.
Suppose I’m holding a paper cup that represents the context of a business and I pour water into the cup that represents the content i.e. employees, products and services. Now, I strike a match and put the flame under the cup. What do you think will eventually happen to the cup and the contents of the cup? Precisely! The heat will destroy the cup (context) and the content will hit the floor i.e. bankruptcy.
However, what if I’m holding a ceramic mug and do the same exercise? What will happen to the ceramic mug? What will happen to the content inside the mug? Right! It might get uncomfortable when the heat comes on the business, but the context of the mug will not allow destruction of the content.
At Sales Partners Atlanta, we have a Code of Honor that states:
“Never abandon a teammate in need”
“Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours”
“Be on time by being early”
“When you have a problem, deal direct”
This Code of Honor creates accountability and repect with our team. If you would like us to help you install a Code of Honor in your business that holds your team together under pressure, feel free to contact me or Jason Tyne at 678-775-6717.
